A Romantic Berry-Hued Wedding at Della Terra | Rach & John’s Marsala Dream
Rach and John’s wedding at Della Terra in Estes Park was a perfect fusion of mountain romance and deliciously rich color. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rockies—just before the venue’s transition to Wedgewood—they embraced a palette that was as bold as it was beautiful: marsala wine, soft vanilla, juicy berry, and earthy blush tones. The result? A swoon-worthy celebration filled with warmth, texture, and charm.
From the very first consultation, it was clear Rach had a vision—and it involved color. Not your average blush-and-ivory wedding, this one played with contrast in the dreamiest way. Marsala tones anchored the palette, grounding it with deep elegance, while creamy vanilla and muted earth tones softened the look. Berry tones popped throughout the design, adding vibrancy and playfulness. This wasn’t just a floral palette—it was a feast for the senses.
The ceremony took place in the forested outdoor amphitheater at Della Terra, with lush arrangements lining the aisle in bud vases, compotes, and wild, untamed bouquets. We used marsala dahlias, burgundy scabiosa, berry-toned ranunculus, and creamy garden roses, mixing in eucalyptus, smoke bush, and textural pods for that organic mountain vibe. Rach’s bouquet was a cascading stunner, full of movement and rich hues, tied with silk ribbons in vanilla and wine. John wore a berry-hued boutonniere to match—elegant, bold, and slightly wild, just like their story.
Inside the reception, the floral magic continued with centerpieces that felt like still-life paintings—artful and abundant. Guests dined at tables dressed in soft linen with candlelight flickering against the deep reds and warm neutrals. But the real showstopper? The dessert table. Designed and executed by the team at Nolia, the spread was not only delicious but design-forward. Think berry-topped tarts, macarons in shades of blush and wine, and cakes decked in edible florals that mirrored the blooms. It was a sweet lover’s dream and a visual extension of the couple’s wedding color story.
This wedding was a true testament to what happens when a couple leans into color, texture, and personality. It felt fresh and modern but rooted in the romantic essence of a mountain celebration. Rach and John’s creative vision gave us the chance to play with bold tones, rich materials, and a little drama—and we loved every second of it.
Planning your own wedding with a delicious palette like this? We’d love to design florals that make your color dreams come true. You can [order this palette online HERE] and bring a little of Rach & John’s magic into your day.
