This couple wanted PLANTS! (& we delivered.) 🌿
A Lush Plant-Lover’s Dream Wedding... at The Oaks at Plum Creek
Christie and Dave's October wedding at The Oaks at Plum Creek was the ultimate celebration of greenery, texture, and fall beauty. Set against the backdrop of golden autumn leaves and rustic charm, this wedding ditched traditional blooms in favor of something fresh, modern, and wildly unique—plants. From airplants to succulents, cascading ferns to sculptural greens, every detail was intentionally lush, earthy, and effortlessly cool.
The couple leaned into a plant-based aesthetic to create a wedding that felt both organic and elevated. Their ceremony featured a stunning hexagonal arch wrapped in wispy airplants, flowing greenery, and sculptural textural accents that framed the surrounding fall foliage like a living work of art. Instead of traditional bouquets, Callan carried a gathered arrangement of airplants, succulents, and foliage—a bouquet rooted (literally!) in sustainability and style. (did you see the 🌳 table names? Love that!)
Dan and his groomsmen wore succulent pocket square boutonnieres, keeping the look clean and modern with a twist. The choice of living botanicals added texture, longevity, and a playful nod to their shared love for nature. Every design element was carefully selected to complement the warm tones of October in Colorado and the natural beauty of The Oaks at Plum Creek.
Inside the venue, plant décor replaced traditional florals entirely. Tables were adorned with potted succulents, trailing greens, and airplant installations that doubled as decor and conversation starters. The vibe was modern greenhouse meets fall mountain wedding—completely unique, deeply personal, and incredibly photogenic.
Speaking of which--Gather and Abide Photography captured every thoughtful detail with their signature moody, romantic style. From the sun-drenched leaves outside to the close-ups of plant textures and laughter-filled portraits, the gallery from this wedding is just as alive as the decor itself.
This wedding proves that flowers aren’t required to create a breathtaking wedding design—especially when plants can bring so much personality, movement, and charm to the space. If you're considering something eco-conscious, textural, and trend-forward, Callan and Dan’s wedding is the perfect inspiration.
